Guinness Ventures has completed a partial exit from PlotBox, following a strategic investment by private equity firm Serent Capital.

Serent specialises in partnering with capital-efficient, founder-led B2B SaaS companies, offering hands-on operational support. Its investment in PlotBox marks a major step toward accelerating product innovation, scaling operations, and expanding PlotBox’s global reach.

PlotBox (www.plotbox.com), established in Ireland in 2014 by co-founders Leona McAllister and Sean McAllister, provides a tech management platform which helps cemeteries, crematoria and funeral homes streamline their processes, digitally map their assets and manage risk.

We initially invested in PlotBox in 2023, when the business had strong market traction, and since then it has grown impressively, driven by the successful rollout of its partnership with Everstory Partners: PlotBox now has over 230 partners, across almost 2,000 facilities globally.

The business has continued to build sales at an impressive rate across the UK, North America, Ireland and APAC, leading the way in deathcare technology and supporting cemeteries, crematoria, and funeral homes with its innovative, cloud-based management platform.
