Guinness Sustainable Estate Planning Service

The Guinness Sustainable Estate Planning Service is designed to help you manage potential inheritance tax liabilities and pass a greater proportion of your wealth to your loved ones. It has an investment strategy focused on sustainable infrastructure businesses which target a positive financial and environmental impact. This may include businesses that own and operate renewable energy assets (e.g. Solar) and businesses in adjacent sectors focused on energy efficiency and de-carbonisation.

Overview

Our investment team makes investments on your behalf, into one or more unlisted UK trading companies, providing access to a portfolio of underlying assets and trades. We aim to deliver value growth for shareholders which can be held for the long term, or accessed through regular realisations.

The shares you hold in these companies are expected to qualify for Business Relief, provided that you have held them for at least two years upon your death. This allows your beneficiaries to reduce the amount of inheritance tax they pay on your inherited estate.
